Richard Miller from the West Worthing Tennis Club clinched the first ever Worthing and District Snooker League snooker shootout title on 7th of May. There were 37 entrants at the handicapped tournament which was taking place at three different venues in Worthing before finishing at the tennis club in Titnore Way during an evening session.
The tournament style for the tournament was single-frame knockout.
Miller won his matches to clinch the victory and the £200 prize that came with it thanks to a break of 33 against Craig Blackman in the final match. He also beat Joe Noon of Connaught in the quarters on his way to the final. Earlier in the day, Noon scored the highest break of the tournament, 96, to make it to the quarter final round.
